In natural protected areas and natural heritage areas and in special environmental protection areas;

a. To carry out works and procedures related to illegal structures that are against the legislation, to ensure coordination with relevant units accordingly,

b. To conduct and finalize operations related to unauthorized excavation, filling, drilling and all kinds of physical interventions without permission,

c. To inspect the architectural and landscape projects of the buildings deemed necessary by the General Directorate to comply with the zoning legislation based on the permit, to ensure the compliance of the projects with the legislation, to carry out the works and procedures related to the approval procedures where deemed necessary, accordingly,

d. To evaluate and finalize the practices concerning the problems encountered by the local administrations during the preparation of architectural and landscape projects, within the framework of the zoning legislation of the city with the approved zoning plans and plan provisions,

e. To create ecological designs to be used in environmentally sensitive settlement and building models that are compatible with natural and cultural values,

f. To determine architectural design principles to be used in planning works and practices, to present opinions on such matters,

g. To prepare preliminary studies of investment projects decided to be realized by the General Directorate,

h. To fulfill other duties assigned by the head of department related to the field of activity.
