In natural protected areas and natural assets and special environmental protection areas;

a. In order to prevent pollution and protect the nature, to prepare projects on drinking water supply, sewerage network and wastewater treatment plant, solid waste landfill, solid waste transfer station and equipment, use of renewable energy resources, coastal, facade and environmental arrangements, as deemed required by the General Directorate,

b. To carry out researches on the applicability of innovative and advanced technologies for environmental protection,

c. To fulfill other duties assigned by the head of department related to the field of activity.
